The Aloha Leadership Retreat is a dream come true, and you’re invited.
The Aloha Leadership Retreat will be a small intimate gathering to help you transform your leadership.
Aloha means “the presence of breath” or “the breath of life.”
It comes from “Alo,” meaning presence, front and face, and “ha,” meaning breath.
Aloha is a way of living and treating each other with love and respect.
Its deep meaning starts by teaching ourselves to love our own beings first and afterwards to spread the love to others.
During the weekend of May 3-5, 2019, we’ll convene at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel.
Mauna Kea Beach Hotel on the Big Island of Hawaii is often described as the place where Hawaii can be Hawaii.
Beautiful beaches. Striking sunsets. Snorkeling. Manta rays. Elegance. Art collections. Relaxation.
On Friday evening we’ll begin with a casual get-together at sunset in the beautiful Copper Bar Vista Deck.
Saturday’s and Sunday’s meetings will be in the Garden Room.
Hopefully, the sparkling turquoise waters of the bay will not be too distracting.

Arrive at your leisure at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel on the Big Island of Hawaii.
At 6:00 pm we will gather in the Copper Bar Vista Deck to enjoy sunset, each other’s company and dinner pupus.
Sunset is at 6:43 pm.
Saturday, May 4, 2019
Begin the day with walk on the beach if you wish.
After breakfast we begin our session to delve into the steps for creating and nourishing a healthy organization, an organization with aloha.
We’ll have plenty of time to share as a group our challenges and hopes of Montessori school leadership.
In the afternoon there will be time to enjoy the beach, get a massage, or other activities.
At sunset we’ll enjoy a group dinner.
Sunday, May 5, 2019
After breakfast we’ll continue our discussions about leadership and wrap up our leadership session right after lunch.
For those of you spending Sunday night, you are invited to dinner at my home.
The Aloha Leadership Retreat will be a fun and amazing experience.
This will be an intimate gathering where you will make new friendships and gain deeper appreciation of your courage and aloha as a Montessori school leader.
Because this will be a small event, attendance will be limited to 20 to 30 participants.
On March 1, I'll send out a questionnaire so we can target our sessions on exactly what you want and need.
You'll also receive an attendance certificate for twelve hours of professional development.
Aloha Leadership Retreat Fee: $597.00
Please note: This registration fee does not include hotel or travel arrangements.
This registration fee includes:
All workshop materials
- Friday night gathering with dinner pupus.
- Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner.
- Sunday breakfast and lunch.
If you choose to stay over on Sunday night, dinner at my house on Sunday will be included.
If you wish to add a spouse or guest to Saturday dinner, you may do so for an additional $50.00 per person.
The Mauna Kea Beach Hotel is a five-star hotel with world-class amenities.
The Mauna Kea has offered us special pricing which is almost 50% off their regular rate. This pricing is available for the three days before our retreat and the three days afterwards, based on availability.
This may be a perfect opportunity to take a long-awaited vacation.
I have guaranteed a limited number of rooms at this special price.
Once this block of rooms is gone the special pricing may not be available.

A third person can be added for $95.00 per night.
Rooms have either a single king bed or two queen beds.

The hotel is about 30 minutes from the airport.
Self-parking is included in your hotel rate.
As we get closer to your arrival dates, I'll coordinate shuttles from the airport.

I’d like to share a room. How can I do that?
Please let me know you’d like to share a room and I’ll work to connect you with someone else who would like to share a room.
What is your cancellation policy? I’d love to come but I don’t know if I can commit right now.
As you know, space in your Aloha Leadership Retreat is very limited! I urge you to book your hotel rooms now to make sure you get the prices I’ve guaranteed.
Since this is a small event with only 20 to 30 participants, it may be difficult to replace your retreat enrollment if you cancel.
Cancellations will be accepted through February 1, 2019 with no penalty.
Cancellations received by February 15, 2019 will receive a 50% refund.
Cancellations received after February 15, 2019 are not eligible for a refund.
In lieu of cancelling, your retreat registration can also be transferred to a person of your choosing.
What about the volcano?
The Kilauea Volcano is on the Big Island. It is about 100 miles from the Mauna Kea Beach Resort.
As of late August 2018 the eruption that began in early May 2018 has quieted down.
The eruption affected the Puna area of the Big island which is the lower southeast part of the island. The Mauna Kea Beach Resort is in the northeastern part of the island.
Even though the media makes it appear that the entire island has been covered by new lava, the new lava covered only about 14 square miles. The Big island is over 4000 square miles.
Why the first week of May for a retreat?
Because that’s when you need it the most.
My wish is that after the retreat, you’ll be able to end the school year and begin planning the next year with renewed vision, clarity and energy.
